DID YOU READ CHAPTER 1 & CHAPTER 2

Chapter 3

– Present Day –

The clock struck one, and every student in the class stood to bring their test to the front of the room where the professor sat. Kayla knew she needed to finish, but the last question on the essay test remained unanswered. She squinted to read the question, but the characters blurred together. She wracked her brain to write something, anything, that might get her a few points, but nothing came to mind.

Finally, all the other students were gone, and the professor sat, staring at Kayla, burning her with his direct gaze. She knew if she didn’t turn her test in, she’d fail.

The professor stood and slowly gathered the stack of tests, still staring at Kayla. Expectantly.

He put the papers in a folder. He put the folder in his leather satchel. He began walking toward Kayla, still staring. Waiting for her to make a move.

As he approached, she noticed his bright red tie, which stood out from his black pants and white shirt. She was mesmerized by that tie. So much so, that she forgot to hand him her test as he walked by.

He was about to walk out of the room, and Kayla yelled for him to stop, pleading with him to accept her exam. Begging for a chance.

But he walked out of the room, as if he didn’t hear her.

She screamed in frustration. Yelling at the top of her lungs.

Then she heard a soft voice, “Shhh. Kayla, baby, it’s OK.”

She felt a comforting hand on her forehead.

She realized she’d been dreaming, and that the most lovely man was at her side.

She smiled, but kept her eyes shut. “Is it time to get up already?”

He whispered, “Yes. It’s time to wake up. You still want to shower before going?”

She nodded, still with her eyes shut.

The warmth of her covers quickly disappeared. She whimpered in protest.

He whispered, “You can go back to sleep on the bus. Just wake up long enough to shower and get dressed.”

When the covers were all the way off, she gave an exaggerated shiver. Her legs were freezing, and she barely remembered taking her sweatpants off in the middle of the night because she was too hot.

He asked, “Are you going to go shower? Or do I need to make you go?”

She tried to pull the covers back up, and suddenly felt herself being lifted.

She quickly sank into the warmth of his chest and his arms. But then the bright light in the bathroom jolted her senses.

She tried to bury her head further into his chest, but he was standing her up against the wall in the bathroom, while he reached into the shower to start the water.

She listened to the water running, and then felt his soft touch on her face. He gently stroked her cheek, while softly saying her name.

She finally opened her eyes and looked up at him.

She almost said, “Morning, sexy,” but she bit her lip instead.

He smiled at her. “The water’s ready.”

She leaned forward, and wrapped her arms around him. She wished he would just strip her down and shower with her. What a way to wake up – morning shower sex with your hot roommate.

He unwrapped her arms from his torso, and said, “I’m going to finish cooking breakfast. Take a quick shower and come upstairs.”

She raised her arms and raised an eyebrow at him. She wasn’t sure what had gotten into her, but she really wanted to be naked with him at this moment. Maybe she could talk him into showering with her.

He asked matter-of-factly, “You need me to strip you?”

She nodded and smiled.

With her arms still straight in the air, he slowly lifted the hem of her shirt, but then ran his hands along her skin, feeling her sides, and her bare back.

She yearned for him to continue his explorations and feel her breasts. To nuzzle his face into her bosom, and suck her sensitive nipples.

He leaned into her ear and whispered, “You’re dangerously sexy.”

Butterflies erupted in her stomach, and her sex was hot and ready.

But then he turned and walked out of the bathroom, turning at the door to look at her again and smile, “I think you can manage on your own from here.”

And she did.

The shower slowly awoke her, and as she got dressed, she realized what she’d done — what she’d ask Jason to do. She was embarrassed. Again.

She hated how immature it made her feel, letting her hormones get the best of her.

Jason had made it perfectly clear that he wasn’t attracted to her. But then, she saw the way he looked at her sometimes. And ‘dangerously sexy’? Who says that?

She noticed that Jason had already carried her bags upstairs, and when she walked into the kitchen, he was finishing some bacon, egg, and cheese sandwiches.

“Mmm. That smells so good.”

He offered her one, wrapped in foil. “For after you wake up a bit.”

She smiled and hugged him. “Thank you. For everything.”

Looking up at him, she needed to apologize for her indiscretions. “Jason, I’m sor–”

“No. Absolutely not. You’re amazing.”

She wondered what that meant, but he said, “Ok, time to go” before she could say anything else.
